House Rejects Amendment Requiring Gov't to Evaluate ‘Violent or Unorthodox Islamic Religious Doctrine’

House Rejects Amendment Requiring Gov't to Evaluate ‘Violent or Unorthodox Islamic Religious Doctrine’: CAIR says the measure, voted down Friday by the House of Representatives in a 217-208 vote, unfairly targeted one faith, and wrongly gave the government authority to define “unorthodox” religious practice.

# It is muslims who insist that (islamic) terrorists hijack islam and tarnish its image, that islam has nothing to do with terrorism, that terrorists misunderstand islam's peaceful teachings ... yet reject a perfect opportunity to scrutinize the doctrines that have supposedly been hijacked or tarnished, along with those who supposedly hijack and tarnish them.
