Arson of Shiite ‘pesantren’, illiteracy and local leaders
Khairil Azhar, Jakarta Sat, 12/31/2011
The hope that this December will last in peace was shattered by the torching of a Shiite Islamic traditional school in Sampang, Madura, on Thursday. If we ask the opinion of a Jakartan Sunni preacher this Friday, we are very likely to get a negative answer, “It was their own fault. They have established a pesantren in a Sunni area.
“Besides, being a Shiite is a big mistake. The true teaching is Sunni and God will only accept Sunni Muslims. If the Shiites want to live in peace, they have to repent and convert.”

Imam behind 'Ground Zero Mosque' calls for peaceful pilgrimage to Israel
If Muslims 'felt free to come here for part of their pilgrimage, you would have easily tens of millions of people coming to Jerusalem,' Feisal Abdul Rauf tells Haaretz.
By Raphael Ahren
"I'd like us religious leaders to call for a sacred month that that will allow people to go on pilgrimage," he said. If Muslims - including Iranians, who are often keen pilgrims - "felt free to come here for part of their pilgrimage, you would have easily tens of millions of people coming to Jerusalem," Rauf said.
Rauf suggests that such a move "would be one step that would perhaps open the door" to reconciliation and peace.

Polygamy Dispute at Center of Shia School Burning: Teacher

Do not be alarmed, for such things must be; but the End is not yet. 7 For nation will rise in arms against nation, kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places; 8 but all these miseries are but like the early pains of childbirth.

No comparison between asylum-seekers and Vietnamese boatpeople
Hal G.P. Colebatch
From: The Australian
December 30, 2011
THE present wave of asylum-seekers is not to be likened to the Vietnamese boatpeople who arrived in Australia after the fall of Saigon.
The Vietnamese and ethnic Chinese boatpeople were fleeing Vietnam for a very definite reason: the victorious communist forces, when not executing them outright, were sending them to re-education camps, confiscating their property and forcing them to do manual work in uncleared tropical jungle.

As far as the present wave of asylum-seekers goes, their countries of origin are vague or unknown. Many have destroyed their papers. Middle Eastern migrants, except in exceptional circumstances, appear to be making little attempt to assimilate and are bringing in polygamy, honour killings and general religious intolerance.

The Crescent Directive explains how we can revamp some of the negative perceptions of American Muslims. It’s the story of how PTA meetings, Thanksgiving dinner, and Little League baseball, with the help of Allah, can save the image of Islam in America.
The Crescent Directive is an essay on improving the image of Islam in America. It suggests that combating radicalism, developing personal connections with other Americans, and displaying visible investment in American culture, will prove to be a more effective long-term strategy than the traditional "open-dialogue" approach, which seeks to educate the ignorant and uninformed on Islam. It will be released on January 2nd, 2012.
The Sharia4Belgium militants distributed leaflets glorifying Islam and criticizing the Western way of life in a central street of the northern port city, Belga news agency quoted a police spokeswoman as saying.
1 This letter which I am now writing to you, dear friends, is my second letter. In both my letters I seek to revive in your honest minds the memory of certain things, 2 so that you may recall the words spoken long ago by the holy Prophets, and the commandments of our Lord and Saviour given you through your Apostles.
3 But, above all, remember that, in the last days, men will come who make a mock at everything--men governed only by their own passions, 4 and, asking, "What has become of His promised Return? For from the time our forefathers fell asleep all things continue as they have been ever since the creation of the world." 5 For they are wilfully blind to the fact that there were heavens which existed of old, and an earth, the latter arising out of water and extending continuously through water, by the command of God; 6 and that, by means of these, the then existing race of men was overwhelmed with water and perished. 7 But the present heavens and the present earth are, by the command of the same God, kept stored up, reserved for fire in preparation for a day of judgement and of destruction for the ungodly.
8 But there is one thing, dear friends, which you must not forget. With the Lord one day resembles a thousand years and a thousand years resemble one day. 9 The Lord is not slow in fulfilling His promise, in the sense in which some men speak of slowness. But He bears patiently with you, His desire being that no one should perish but that all should come to repentance.
10 The day of the Lord will come like a thief--it will be a day on which the heavens will pass away with a rushing noise, the elements be destroyed in the fierce heat, and the earth and all the works of man be utterly burnt up.
11 Since all these things are thus pre-destined to dissolution, what sort of men ought you to be found to be in all holy living and godly conduct, 12 eagerly looking forward to the coming of the day of God, by reason of which the heavens, all ablaze, will be destroyed, and the elements will melt in the fierce heat? 13 But in accordance with His promise we are expecting new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness will dwell.
14 Therefore, dear friends, since you have these expectations, earnestly seek to be found in His presence, free from blemish or reproach, in peace. 15 And always regard the patient forbearance of our Lord as salvation, as our dear brother Paul also has written to you in virtue of the wisdom granted to him. 16 That is what he says in all his letters, when speaking in them of these things. In those letters there are some statements hard to understand, which ill-taught and unprincipled people pervert, just as they do the rest of the Scriptures, to their own ruin. 17 You, therefore, dear friends, having been warned beforehand, must continually be on your guard so as not to be led astray by the false teaching of immoral men nor fall from your own stedfastness. 18 But be always growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To Him be all glory, both now and to the day of Eternity!

The OIC’s xenophobic publicists in the United States
by Mehmet Kalyoncu*
28 December 2011
Ironically though, in recent months, the OIC’s publicity has skyrocketed in the US, inside the Beltway at least, thanks to xenophobic and Islamophobic pundits, as well as extreme right blogs such as PipeLineNews, Family Security Matters and the like. Their continuous defamation of the OIC has intensified recently with the US State Department’s decision to invite the OIC to take part in an expert-level meeting to discuss practical steps for the implementation of United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) Resolution 16/18, which was formulated on the basis of the eight points provided by the OIC secretary-general during one of his speeches in Geneva to promote a culture of tolerance and mutual understanding.
"When I represented Iran in Mexico, I conducted many talk sessions with followers of Christ and discussed religious issues with them," he said. "The meetings were a great opportunity for me to learn more about Christianity and acquaint Christians with Islamic teachings."
"The meetings ended with 300 new-Muslims; i.e. almost half of the participants who had attended the sessions with an initial off-putting view about Islam. It was a 20-minute effort for me to persuade them into believing that what they thought about the Bible and Christianity was only forged truth. The sessions turned out eye-catching results," he added.
It was very easy for me to tell them that their mentality about Christ was false and needed an urgent overhaul, he further added.
1 And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him to show him the buildings of the temple. 2 And Jesus said to them, See ye not all these things? verily I say to you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.
3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, Tell us, when will these things be? and what will be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?
4 And Jesus answered and said to them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many will come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and will deceive many. 6 And ye will hear of wars, and rumors of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there will be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes in divers places. 8 All these are the beginning of sorrows.
9 Then will they deliver you up to be afflicted, and will kill you: and ye will be hated by all nations for my name's sake. 10 And then will many be offended, and will betray one another, and will hate one another. 11 And many false prophets will rise, and will deceive many. 12 And because iniquity will abound, the love of many will become cold. 13 But he that shall endure to the end, the same shall be saved. 14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world, for a testimony to all nations; and then shall the end come.
15 When therefore ye shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoever readeth, let him understand,) 16 Then let them who are in Judea flee to the mountains: 17 Let him who is on the house-top not come down to take any thing out of his house: 18 Neither let him who is in the field return back to take his clothes. 19 And woe to them that are with child, and to them that nurse infants in those days! 20 But pray ye that your flight may not be in the winter, neither on the sabbath: 21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as hath not been since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. 22 And except those days should be shortened, there would no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. 23 Then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not. 24 For false Christs will arise, and false prophets, and will show great signs and wonders; so that, if it were possible, they would deceive the very elect. 25 Behold, I have told you before. 26 Wherefore, if they shall say to you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, he is in the secret chambers; believe it not. 27 For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even to the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. 28 For wherever the carcass is, there will the eagles be collected.
29 Immediately after the tribulation of those days, shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: 30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he will send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
32 Now learn a parable of the fig-tree; When its branch is yet tender and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: 33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. 34 Verily I say to you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things shall be fulfilled. 35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. 37 But as the days of Noah were, so will also the coming of the Son of man be. 38 For as in the days that were before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, 39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away: so also will be the coming of the Son of man. 40 Then will two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left.
42 Watch therefore; for ye know not what hour your Lord cometh. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house knew in what watch the thief would come, he would watch, and would not suffer his house to be broken up. 44 Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not, the Son of man cometh.
45 Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his Lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? 46 Blessed is that servant, whom his lord, when he cometh, shall find so doing. 47 Verily I say to you, that he will make him ruler over all his goods. 48 But if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My Lord delayeth his coming; 49 And shall begin to beat his fellow-servants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; 50 The Lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, 51 And will cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

Any Muslim that understands the spirit of peace in Islam knows that there is nothing and nowhere in the teachings of Islam that condones the kind of violence where one is given a carte blanche to murder innocent families who were celebrating their day of significance in a place that they considered to be their sanctuary. Any Muslim that knows the overwhelming message of hope, justice, faith, and peace among human beings of the Qur’an is completely devastated.

1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, who stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.
2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling to all the people around, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. 3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be assembled against it. 4 In that day, saith the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open my eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness. 5 And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God.
6 In that day will I make the governors of Judah like a hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people around, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem. 7 The LORD also will save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem may not magnify themselves against Judah. 8 In that day will the LORD defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the LORD before them. 9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.
10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his first-born. 11 In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon. 12 And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart; 13 The family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart, and their wives apart; 14 All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.

The real story is that religious cleansing by Islamists acting in the name of Islam is taking place throughout the Middle East and Christians are being victimized wherever they live
Dear brother, thank you for your question that shows your interest in knowing more about Islam and to keep stick to its teachings.
There is nothing wrong for a Muslim to enter a church for a permissible reason. It may, even, be recommended in some cases to contact Christians in their churches for building good relations or for any other good reason.
[...]
In other words, it all depends on the intention and purpose of your visit. If you are entering a Church for the purpose of worship or receiving blessings or confessing your sins or beseeching favors from other than Allah, then you are wrong.

When it comes to "bigotry", no point looking beyond what allah had to say, via its false prophet:
Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Apostle have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection. (Sura 9:29)
Not a lot of "peace on Earth" and "goodwill to all men" from allah, or its sockpuppet
