A guide to Islamic blasphemy, among other things

CAIR “SHARING RAMADAN” RESOURCE GUIDE 2011

[B. Islam and Muslims FAQs]

[Q: What is Islam?

A: Islam is not a new religion. It is the same truth that God revealed to all His prophets (Adam, Noah, Moses, Jesus, etc.) throughout history. Islam is both a religion and a complete way of life. Muslims follow a religion of peace, mercy and forgiveness.]

* Islam is a counterfeit, rejecting the truth of Jesus Christ; denying both His deity (Sura 4:171) and crucifixion (Sura 4:157).

[Q: Who are Muslims and what do they believe?

A: Muslims believe in One, Unique, and Incomparable God, creator of the universe. They believe in the Day of Judgement and individual accountability for actions. Muslims believe in a chain of prophets beginning with Adam and including Noah, Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Job, Moses, David, Solomon, and Jesus. God’s eternal message was reaffirmed and finalized by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be on them all). One becomes a Muslim by saying, “There is no deity but God, and Muhammad is the messenger of God.” By this declaration, the person announces faith in all of God’s messengers.
There are an estimated 1.2 billion Muslims worldwide. No more than 20 percent of Muslims live in the Arabic-speaking world. The country with the largest Muslim population is Indonesia.]

* Contrast with God's plan of salvation and eternal life through Jesus Christ:

"that if with your mouth you confess Jesus as Lord and in your heart believe that God brought Him back to life, you shall be saved." (Romans 10:9)

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16)

"For the wages of sin is death: but the gift of God is eternal life, through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23)

[Q: What is the Quran?

A: The Quran is the record of the exact words revealed by God through the Angel Gabriel to the Prophet Muhammad in Arabic. It was memorized by Muhammad and then dictated to his companions. The text of the Quran was cross-checked during the life of the Prophet. The 114 chapters of the Quran have remained unchanged through the centuries. Translations of the meaning of the Quran exist in almost all languages.]

* Jesus Christ gave a solemn warning against adding to or taking away from the words of the Book of Revelation:

"I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book, if anyone adds to them, may God add to him the plagues which are written in this book. If anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, may God take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written in this book." (Revelation 22:18 & 19)

* While Revelation contains severe warnings against tampering, it also contains an invitation to take of the waters of life, freely:

"The Spirit and the bride say, "Come!" He who hears, let him say, "Come!" He who is thirsty, let him come. He who desires, let him take the water of life freely." (Revelation 22:17)

* The final verses of Revelation - nothing more to be said, no subsequent "prophets" or "messengers" from "Allah" or any other imposter gods:

""He who solemnly declares all this says, "'Yes, I am coming quickly.'" Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen." (Revelation 22:20 & 21)
